First Aid at Work
Description
The First Aid at Work qualification is for adults who wish to be qualified to provide first aid for adults in a high-risk environment. For individuals who wish to act as a first aider in their workplace. Providing first aid to adults aged 18 and above.
The role and responsibilities of a first aider; assessing an incident; managing an unresponsive casualty; cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs); recovery position; heart attack; stroke; chocking; epilepsy; asthma, diabetes; anaphylaxis shock; head and spinal injuries; chest injuries; wounds and bleeding; fractures; sprains, strains and dislocations; minor injuries; burns and scalds; poisoning; eye injuries
