Camden Leaders SEND & Inclusion Conference
Description
Supporting Minds, Improving Outcomes: Mental Health and SEND
Positioning mental health not as a standalone wellbeing issue, but as a core driver of effective practice across school life.
Mental health shapes behaviour, attendance, engagement and progress — and for pupils with SEND, where needs often overlap and intensify, its impact can be decisive and SENDCos are central to getting this right.
With a clear focus on inclusion, inspection readiness and whole-school improvement, the conference will explore how mental health intersects with SEND and disadvantage, and how these shape pupils lived experience in school.
Through expert insight and practical guidance, we will look at how curriculum, teaching, behaviour, attendance, and whole-school culture can actively reduce barriers to learning and strengthen belonging so that every pupil can thrive.
