SATS Preparation (reading, writing and maths)

This training session is designed to support Year 6 teachers in preparing pupils for their SATs and in moderating their provision and assessment of reading, writing, and maths. Teachers will work collaboratively to ensure pupils are well-equipped to tackle the assessments. The session provides opportunities for educators to share best practices, refine their approaches, and moderate pupils' work against national standards. Additionally, teachers will identify learning gaps and explore ways to address them, developing a clearer understanding of end-of-year expectations for their year group. By the end of the training, educators will have enhanced their ability to support pupils in becoming secure readers, writers, and mathematicians, fostering resilience  to help pupils approach their SATs with confidence.
