New to year 6

This will introduce teachers to the expectations of end of Key Stage 2 assessment. Teachers will consider how to provide a broad and balanced curriculum whilst ensuring that pupils are prepared for end of year statutory tests. Reading, writing and maths will be the areas of focus with an emphasis on quality assessment for learning and next steps teaching. Teachers will be more secure in end of year expectations in these areas. Teachers will be given strategies to implement in their classroom practise to support children in reaching end of year expectations.
