Race Equity Hub

The Race Equity Hub is a school-led professional learning and improvement network that supports Camden schools to move from commitment to purposeful action on race equity. It brings together leaders and practitioners to strengthen racial literacy, explore inequalities through data and lived experience, and consider how curriculum, culture, policies, leadership and wider school systems affect pupils’ experiences and outcomes.

Through structured dialogue, professional challenge and peer learning, members will share evidence, reflect critically on practice and develop approaches that can be tested and refined across different school contexts.

During 2026–27, the Hub will co-produce a practical Race Equity Toolkit for schools. This will include audit and reflection tools, practical guidance, examples of effective practice, and resources to support action planning and impact evaluation. Pupil, staff and community voice will inform each stage of its development.

Participating schools will also benefit from developmental adviser visits led by Mark Bynoe and opportunities for school-to-school visits. These will support focused reflection, enable colleagues to learn from practice across Camden and help schools test and refine their approaches to race equity.
