Elective Home Education Update

This CPD session provides school leaders with an overview of new legislation within the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill, ensuring schools remain informed and compliant with evolving requirements.

 

The session will cover key updates, including changes to the role and responsibilities of local authority officers, as well as guidance on school reporting for the Children Not in School register.

 

Participants will:

• Understand key legislative changes and their implications for schools.
• Review updated expectations for Elective Home Education.
• Clarify school responsibilities relating to reporting and safeguarding.
