Adaptive Teaching and Assistive Technology in Everyday Classrooms

Description

Practical strategies. Inclusive design. Independent learners.

This CPD session supports teachers to integrate digital tools into everyday classroom practice to enhance adaptive teaching, improve access, and strengthen learning outcomes for all pupils.

Focusing on practical application, the session explores how technology can be used to scaffold learning, support literacy development and enhance formative assessment. Particular attention is given to the role of assistive technology and AI in increasing access, participation and independence, especially for pupils with SEND, while avoiding over-reliance.

Participants will explore how to:

  • use digital tools to scaffold learning and respond to pupil need

  • support literacy through accessible, technology-enhanced approaches

  • strengthen formative assessment and adapt teaching in real time

  • apply assistive technology to remove barriers and promote independence

  • use AI tools in safe, purposeful and classroom-ready ways

Through practical examples and guided planning, participants will design approaches that can be implemented and trialled immediately, supporting inclusive and responsive classroom practice.
