EYFS Profile Moderation

This EYFS professional development training is designed to strengthen practitioners' understanding of high-quality professional dialogue and ensure consistency in assessment across settings. The session makes use of EYFS exemplification video material to explore the key features of effective professional dialogue, providing participants with the opportunity to reflect on real examples of practice. A focused discussion around the Early Learning Goals (ELGs) will help clarify expectations and support accurate, meaningful assessment. In addition, the training includes a structured opportunity for cross-school moderation of the seven areas of learning and development, specifically for children working at the expected standard. This collaborative activity encourages professional discussion, supports consistency in judgments, and builds confidence in assessment decisions.
