New to A Level Maths Session

This is the second session of the year, which is designed for teachers new to teaching, or aspiring to teach, A Level Maths, you can still attend even if you did not attend the first session. In this session, we will be focusing on how to introduce concepts at A Level Maths, with a specific focus on integration and probability.

We will look at and experience some tasks that will enhance your teaching practice and the experience of your pupils.

We will be looking at the Edexcel/Pearson specification. If you use a different exam board this will not hinder your experience.

Aims

• Tackle misconceptions in specific A Level Maths pure topics
• Look at effective ways to introduce concepts at A Level that build on students' understanding
• Explore the use of technology at A Level.
