Adaptive Teaching and Inclusive Pedagogy Hub

Description

This program will explore the purpose and meaning of inclusive pedagogy and adaptive teaching including the evidence base, as well as how to implement this in the Secondary classroom. The sessions will focus on practical strategies that practitioners can use and apply to their own classrooms in order to support the progress of all students, particularly those who are SEND or disadvantaged, as well as the research underpinning these.

This course is relevant for any classroom teacher who has been teaching for 2+ years, it will really benefit colleagues who have graduated from the ECT program as it will follow on from the themes explored around adaptive teaching there.

As part of the program each participant will be expected to attend four sessions, engage with tasks in between sessions including applying strategies that have been explored in the sessions in their classrooms and reflecting on this experience. After you have been accepted onto the program you will be sent a short questionnaire to complete and a task to bring to the first session.
