How to build our Antiracist Classrooms with Orlene Badu - Being Antiracist

A key foundation for success outlined in BBS is for an ambitious inclusive Camden system that calls out and addresses inequalities, we are pleased to confirm that Orlene Badu will be continue to run the series of three twilight sessions exploring ‘How to build our Antiracist classrooms’. Each session will explore a different aspect of how schools can be pro-active and practically meet equalities duties exploring: Challenging your biases; Deepening your racial literacy and Being Antiracist.

The sessions are open to ALL school staff who work with Camden young people with ALL schools encouraged to send at least one member of staff. Orlene is offering the opportunity to join each session remotely or in person at 5 Pancras Square.

All attendees will receive a copy of Orlene’s book ‘How to Build Your Antiracist Classroom’ in the third session.

Being Antiracist

Terminology- how do we ensure a shared understanding of terminology? The structures in which you can be antiracist: curriculum, assessment, expectations, parental engagement, behaviour How do we disrupt inequalities? Next steps going forward?
